Two freight train carriages derailed near Raipur station in Chhattisgarh

Immediately after the accident, railway employees and officials arrived at the scene.

Raipur, May 21 (H.S.): A major accident occurred near Raipur Railway Station on Wednesday morning around 7 am. Two carriages of a freight train coming from Bilaspur towards Raipur station derailed. As soon as information about the accident was received, railway and RPF officials arrived at the scene. This incident took place near Chunabhatti in Raipur. After the accident, trains are being diverted from platforms five and six. Railway officials reported that two racks of the freight train heading from Bilaspur towards Durg derailed just before arriving at Raipur railway station. Upon receiving information about the incident, railway and RPF officials reached the site, where efforts were made to bring the racks back onto the track. Following the incident during peak hour, trains arriving at platforms one, two, and three at the station are being diverted through platforms four, five, and six.
