Guwahati, 07 March (HS): Within an hour of registering a theft complaint, Panbazar police of Guwahati arrested two thieves and recovered stolen goods from them.

The state police headquarters today informed that a person named Kishan Das had lodged a complaint that wires had been stolen from inside his building named JS Arcade on MLN Road. After analyzing the CCTV footage, Panbazar police arrested the culprits. The accused have been identified as Dhiraj Nath alias Biki Nath (20) and Din Islam (35).

Police said that within an hour of registering the case, the stolen goods were recovered from Din Islam’s junk shop located near Hari Sabha on MLN Road.

The stolen items recovered include four iron rods, four iron pipes, one square iron pipe, 10 aluminium AC outer parts, two axes, a sound system, several parts of a ceiling fan, wires and router with two remotes, a bag full of square iron rods and medals and trophies kept in a bag. Police are investigating the case.
