01 April (HS): With a vibrant blend of sports, academics, and culture,
‘Udbodhan 2025′ kicked off in grand style at the Shatabdi Boys’ Hostel of
Allahabad University on April 1, 2025. Marking the beginning of this exciting
fortnight-long event, the inauguration was made even more meaningful with the hostel’s
unique green initiative, ‘Plantation par Participation,’ where students and
dignitaries came together to plant saplings, reinforcing their commitment to
environmental sustainability.
Adding
prestige to the occasion, the event was inaugurated with a tree plantation
ceremony and ribbon-cutting by Chief Guest Prof. Harsh Kumar, Dean of Student
Welfare, alongside Guest of Honor Prof. Rakesh Singh, Proctor, and Prof. Adesh
Kumar, Dean of the Faculty of Law. The event flourished under the guidance of
hostel guardian Prof. Abhay Kumar Pandey and Assistant Superintendent Dr.
Mrityunjay Rao Parmar. Further gracing the event were distinguished guests,
including Allahabad University’s Legal Officer Dr. Piyush Kumar Mishra,
Assistant Proctor Dr. Atul Narayan Singh, and Assistant Proctor Shiv Kumar
Yadav, whose presence added to the significance of the occasion.
The
excitement of ‘Udbodhan 2025’ soared as the much-anticipated cricket tournament
was inaugurated, marking the beginning of two weeks of thrilling competitions.
Running from April 1 to April 13, the event promises an array of academic,
cultural, and sporting activities, including Speech, Debate, Quiz, Just a
Minute, Fictionotopia, Akhiri Alfaz, Chess, Carrom, Ludo, Uno, BGMI, Singing,
Dancing, Kavyanjali, Rangoli, Mehndi, Cricket, Badminton, Volleyball, Tug of
War, Clicked (Photography), and Wall Painting.
Beyond
being a platform for competitive excellence, ‘Udbodhan 2025’ stands as a beacon
of holistic development, fostering both physical and mental growth while
championing the cause of environmental sustainability through its plantation
drive. Adding to the prestige of the event, a distinguished gathering of civil
judges, who are proud alumni of the Faculty of Law at Allahabad University,
will grace the occasion alongside several other esteemed dignitaries, further
elevating the significance of this grand celebration.
