Union Minister Exudes Confidence in BJP-Led Coalition Government in Tamil Nadu by 2026

Chennai, 9 March (H.S.) : Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, L Murugan, expressed confidence that a BJP-led coalition government will be formed in Tamil Nadu in 2026. Speaking to reporters after inaugurating the BJP Mandal office at Nanganallur, Murugan asserted that the BJP will forge a grand alliance to oust the anti-people DMK regime in the upcoming assembly elections.

Murugan declared that the BJP will form a formidable alliance to send the DMK government packing in the 2026 assembly polls. He alleged that law and order had completely broken down in Tamil Nadu, citing concerns about women’s safety and the state’s rising crime and corruption rates.

The Union Minister highlighted the NDA government’s initiatives to promote the Tamil language and culture globally. He noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken concrete steps to promote Tamil, including setting up Tamil cultural chairs in many countries and universities.

Murugan assured that diplomatic talks are ongoing to resolve the issue of Tamil Nadu fishermen being detained by the Sri Lankan Navy. He emphasized the Modi government’s efforts to support fishermen, including allocating Rs 40,000 crore for their welfare through schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.
