Chennai, 30 April (H.S.) : Sri Sathya Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal today has assumed the role of the 71st Peethadhipathi of the revered Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetha. The occasion has been met with widespread joy and felicitations, with many dignitaries and devotees paying their respects to the new leader.

Union Minister Murugan expressed his happiness on X handle at the news and paid tribute to Sri Sathya Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Swamigal for his significant contributions to the Hindu community. Notably, the new Peethadhipathi is being recognized as the youngest abbot of the Kanchi Shankara Math, and his appointment has generated considerable interest and enthusiasm.
