Lucknow,
12 March (HS): In a big effort to enhance living conditions
in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a significant
project to offer gas cylinder refill subsidies to 1.86 crore eligible people. The program, which is part of the Pradhan
Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, has an allocation of Rs 1,890 crores to assist
participants throughout the festival season.
During the function in Lucknow on Wednesday, Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath stated, ‘Today’s distribution of free cooking gas cylinders
demonstrates our commitment to improve lives.
This is particularly important as we approach festivals such as Holi and
Ramadan. The state government has
allocated Rs. 3,760 crores for the entire plan, indicating a strong commitment
to the cause.
The effort not only intends to provide availability
to cooking gas, but also to emphasize food security, particularly during crises
like the COVID-19 epidemic. Highlighting
this, the Chief Minister underscored continuous efforts to assist all
low-income households, as well as other social initiatives like as the Chief
Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana.
