sacred occasion of Shri Ram Navami provides an opportunity to decide to

integrate the teachings and values of the dignified Purushottam Lord Shri Ram

into our personalities. Hail to the

merciful Lord Sri Rama, he said.

On this auspicious day, worshipers flocked to

Ayodhya’s Hanumangarhi Temple to pray.

Aarti was conducted at 3 a.m., and the temple was filled with

worshippers throughout the day. Today is

the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri.

Mahant Raju Das, priest of the Hanuman Garhi

temple, stated, I would like to send greetings on the occasion of Ram

Navami. The Aarti ceremony began at 3

On Sunday morning, devotees flocked to

Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Temple to celebrate Ram Navami. Before approaching the shrine, pilgrims took a

sacred plunge in Ayodhya’s Saryu River. On Ram Navami, the Ayodhya temple was

decorated with brilliant flowers and sparkling lights, attracting pilgrims from

all across the country to commemorate Lord Ram’s birth. One devotee stated, I am feeling very

good after coming here. The arrangements are extremely excellent.”

devotee from Varanasi stated, I have come from Varanasi to worship at

Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple on the festival of Ram Navami. Speaking about the preparedness at Shri Ram

Janmabhoomi Temple, Additional SP Madhuban Singh said: People come in big

numbers to offer prayers on the festival of Ram Navami… To safeguard the

Every year on the last day of Chaitra

Navaratri, India celebrates Ram Navmi, the birth of Lord Rama. On this auspicious day, young girls dressed

as Durga’s nine forms are presented with gifts and prasad.

The

ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Maa Siddhidatri, who is

considered the ninth form of Goddess Durga.

The term Siddhidatri translates as giver of spiritual and

meditative powers. She is

frequently shown sitting on a lotus and is said to have defeated the demon

Mahishasura on this day. Hence, it is

also known as ‘Maha Navami’.

Navratri, which means nine nights

in Sanskrit, is a Hindu festival honoring Goddess Durga and her nine

incarnations, together known as Navdurga.
