Jhansi,
11 March (HS): On Tuesday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized past
governments for allegedly failing to assure Uttar Pradesh’s growth, stating the
state was formerly deemed unsafe and forcing youngsters and traders to move. Adityanath
stated during a credit camp under the CM Yuva plan for the Jhansi and
Chitrakoot divisions that Uttar Pradesh was once considered a dangerous
area. Women suffered security threats,
and young people and traders were driven to flee the state. However, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s
leadership, India has risen to become the world’s fifth-largest economy, with
Uttar Pradesh performing to its full potential. He criticized past governments
for incompetence that led to mafia domination and rioting in Uttar
Pradesh.
However,
under PM Modi’s leadership, the state has evolved, becoming India’s
second-largest economy and a crucial generator of national prosperity, he
added. The chief minister stated that Uttar Pradesh has the biggest number of
MSME units in the country, which creates work for millions.
He
also emphasized the BJP’s commitment to Bundelkhand’s development. “When I
initially arrived in Bundelkhand in 2017, there was hopelessness. The region was under the control of the
mining mafia and striving for its identity.
I vowed to free Bundelkhand from dacoits and mafia tyranny,” UP CM
remarked. He stated that we are
currently honoring that commitment. The
chief minister hailed the success of the recent Maha Kumbh, claiming that
despite the state’s population of 25 crore, over 66 crore Hindus
participated. This speaks volumes about
Uttar Pradesh’s rising profile.
Adityanath
also opened a 200-bed smart hospital in Jhansi, which was established under the
public-private partnership (PPP) model.
This hospital will include a 50-bed ICU and excellent diagnostic
facilities. The hub-and-spoke
architecture would enable consultants to give services in numerous places, he
added.
During
his visit, the chief minister visited the Sky Museum in Jhansi, which provides
insights into space and the universe. “I
virtually opened this museum, and it has already produced more than Rs 20 lakh
in money,” he stated, “emphasizing that initiatives should be self-sustaining,
educational, and serve as entertainment places.” Adityanath discussed the CM
Yuva Udyami Yojana and encouraged young entrepreneurs to generate employment
rather than seek them. Every student
should strive to offer work for 8-10 others.
He emphasized that innovation and technology are critical to company
success.
Referring
to the Maha Kumbh, he stated that students studying for competitive
examinations took advantage of the event by carrying devotees to the Sangam
region on motorbikes, earning a living.
He emphasized the need of innovation and flexibility in business. Adityanath stated that the government
expected one lakh applications for the CM Yuva plan between January and March,
but over 1.5 lakh were received, and loans had already been paid to around
30,000 young entrepreneurs. He stated that on March 25, the BJP administration
in Uttar Pradesh will complete eight years in power, and that exhibits
displaying its projects would be staged in each district. Each district should link at least 1,000 youths
with the CM Yuva plan to assist them in starting their own businesses, he
urged.
He
advised young entrepreneurs to register their enterprises with the MSME
department and highlighted the government’s assistance. He stated that once you register, even if a
calamity occurs, the government will pay Rs 5 lakh in insurance coverage.
Adityanath
announced the formation of the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority
(BIDA), which will encompass 56,000 acres between Jhansi and Kanpur. This will be India’s largest industrial
township, establishing Bundelkhand as a worldwide economic powerhouse.
He
stated that investors had already expressed interest, with 2,000 acres in
Lalitpur reserved for a pharmaceutical park.
Lalitpur also has a medical college, and Jhansi will soon have a
world-class convention center for public events, exhibits, and investment
meetings, he explained. The chief minister stated that Bundelkhand, which was
formerly plagued by water shortages, is now making tremendous development.
The
‘Har Ghar Nal’ initiative would soon provide piped drinking water to every
family, and irrigation projects will ensure that water reaches every field, he
claimed. The chief minister advised residents to oppose any attempts to
reestablish mafia authority in the region.
Do
not let those who oppressed the poor, harassed traders, and jeopardized women’s
safety return. The government is behind you in providing justice and security,
he stated. Adityanath promised a rise of Rs 150 per quintal in the Minimum
Support Price (MSP) for wheat, as well as the establishment of inexpensive food
canteens named after Mata Shabari in each mandi. He stated that these canteens will supply
farmers with low-cost tea and lunches.
He
also mentioned intentions to create dormitories for working women under the
Mata Ahilyabai initiative and to guarantee that backward groups, which were
previously excluded from government benefits, are now included. We have included cash in the state budget to
connect every impoverished home to government welfare programs, he said.
The
Chief Minister closed by paying respect to Rani Lakshmibai, noting that her
spirit continues to motivate us to develop a strong and self-sufficient
Bundelkhand. During the event, loans were provided to 1,070 young entrepreneurs
under the CM Yuva Udyami plan.
