UP taking efforts for promotion and preservation of Sanskrit

23 April (HS): The Yogi government’s resolve to spread Sanskrit to the masses

is coming true. Continuous efforts are also being made for the promotion and

preservation of Sanskrit. In this sequence, the state government is going to

conduct Sanskrit Pratibha Khoj Pariksha. Through this, the Yogi government will

again give recognition to young talents at the state level. Youth will be

linked to this under Sanskrit Pratibha Khoj and Sanskrit Study Promotion

Scholarship. In this, students of two classes, class six to 12 and

graduate-postgraduate will be able to show their skills in Sanskrit.

For

the upliftment of Sanskrit in UP, young talents will be searched from district

to state level. For this, Sanskrit Pratibha Khoj Pariksha will be conducted.

This examination will be held from 5th to 31st July at district level. Online

examination will be held from 20th July to 31st July. At divisional level, it

will be held from 5th August to 13th August (online examination from 10th

September to 20th September). After this, there will be a state level

examination as well.

Sanskrit

Pratibha Khoj will be held in two categories. The first category will be from

class 6 to 12. Under the second category, undergraduate and postgraduate

students will be able to participate. Category A will have Sanskrit songs,

Sanskrit general knowledge, Shlokantyakshari, Ashtadhyayi memorization,

Amarkosh memorization, Laghusiddhantakaumudi memorization and Tark Sangrah

memorization. Category B will have Sanskrit general knowledge, Sanskrit speech

and dictation.

Former

President of Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, Dr. Vachaspati Mishra said that

the youth is being continuously connected with Sanskrit. This year also, the

hidden talent within the youth will be enhanced through the examination. The

best performing talents will also be rewarded. The state level winner will be

awarded Rs 11,000, the second prize winner will be awarded Rs 7,000 and the

third place winner will be awarded Rs 5,000. Also, the participants who receive

three consolation prizes will be given Rs 3,000 each. Along with this, prize

money will also be given to the winners at the district and divisional level.

Every participant will be given a certificate, a memento and travel expenses at
