Chennai, 13 April (H.S.): Anbumani Ramadoss has declared his intent to remain as the president of the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), despite being removed from the position by his father and party founder S Ramadoss.

Anbumani cites his election as PMK president by the party’s general council members in Chennai on May 28, 2022, asserting his legitimacy to hold the position.

The PMK leader has urged all party organs and office-bearers to rally behind the upcoming Chithirai full moon conference in Mahabalipuram and prepare for the 2026 State Assembly election.

Anbumani emphasized two key objectives guiding his tenure: the seamless execution of the forthcoming conference and the pursuit of unprecedented success for the PMK in the upcoming State Assembly election.

Anbumani reiterated his primary duty to honor Dr. Ramadoss’ political vision and elevate his father’s legacy through the party’s achievements.
