Washington, May 8 (HS): The United States is optimistic about a potential end to the Israel-Hamas conflict within 24 hours, while also keeping an eye on rising tensions between India and Pakistan.

President Trump affirmed that tariffs on China will remain in place, but a significant trade agreement with the UK may soon be announced. During a Wednesday press briefing, Trump mentioned the possibility of positive news regarding a ceasefire and hostage negotiations for Israel and Hamas.

He intimated that his administration would reveal a major trade deal with the UK, representing the first agreement after the implementation of heavy tariffs on several trading nations.
