
Washington, 21 April (H.S.): U.S. Vice President JD Vance, alongside his family, has commenced his inaugural official visit to India from April 21 to April 24, departing from Rome Ciampino Airport on Air Force Two. The aircraft is set to arrive at Air Force Station, Palam in New Delhi around 9:30 AM on Monday, with a formal welcome planned for 10:00 AM. A crucial meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled for 6:30 PM that same day at the PM’s residence, emphasizing the importance of this visit.
Capturing a heartfelt moment, Vance was seen lifting his sleeping daughter, Mirabel, from their car, while his sons, Ewan and Vivek, entertained themselves with toy swords during boarding. Post discussions in Delhi, Vance intends to visit Jaipur on Tuesday and tour Agra on April 23, concluding his trip on Thursday, April 24, when he is scheduled to depart at 6:40 AM.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), reaffirmed the U.S.-India Comprehensive Strategic Global Partnership, indicating that this visit would further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation across various domains.

Ahead of his arrival, welcome banners have been placed near Palam Airport and in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal highlighted the significance of this visit, noting that it will address all major issues in the context of the Comprehensive Strategic Global Partnership between India and the U.S. He expressed confidence that this engagement will enhance bilateral relations, covering a broad spectrum of collaborative efforts and international concerns.
