Lucknow,
28 April (HS): Uttar Pradesh State Lalit Kala Academy will hold summer camps in
all 75 districts from May 1 to June 30, according to an official statement
issued on Monday.
Camps
will be divided into two age groups: 10-17 years and 18-25 years, with
expert-led training in various creative forms offered everyday from 8 a.m. to
10 a.m., according to the statement.
Dr.
Shraddha Shukla, Director of the State Lalit Kala Akademi, stated that the
workshop, which is being organized under the state government’s supervision,
intends to hone the creative abilities of young people. The initiative aims to promote creativity and
enthusiasm in visual arts. Shukla went on to say that the program will provide
participants in-depth understanding about visual arts. Art, sketching,
watercolor painting, wash technique, fabric work, clay work, and oil painting
will be among the major themes covered.
Subject
matter experts will be chosen as district-level regional coordinators. Participants will also be introduced to other
types of folk art, including Bundelkhand’s Chiteri art, Sanjhi, Kohbar, and
miniature paintings. Sessions will be held in the State Lalit Kala Academy
campus in Lucknow, as well as the Lalit Kala Institute in Agra and Allahabad
University’s Department of Fine Arts. In Gorakhpur, training would be provided
under university supervision. The initiative’s goal is to provide local
learning opportunities for talented rural individuals. Workshops will take place in areas like as
Firozabad, Mainpuri, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Kushinagar, Jalaun, Sultanpur,
Amethi, and others, according to the release.
