WASHINGTON , 31 October (H.S.): Vice President JD Vance on Thursday defended President Donald Trump’s directive to resume testing of the United States’ nuclear arsenal, characterizing the move as a critical component of national security.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, Vance asserted that a testing regime is necessary to ensure the reliability of the nation’s nuclear stockpile. It’s an important part of American national security to make sure that this nuclear arsenal we have actually functions properly, he stated.
The Vice President did not elaborate on the specific types of tests President Trump had ordered via a social media post. When pressed for details, Vance said that the president’s statement speaks for itself.
