
Anand, March 23 (H.S.) : Vijay Dutt Shridhar, founder-coordinator of Madhavrao Sapre Memorial Newspaper Museum and Research Institute, Bhopal, and a recipient of the ‘Padma Shri’ award, has been honored with the highest accolade of the Hindi literature , ‘Sahitya Vachaspati.’ This honor was bestowed upon him by the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, Prayag, at the 76th session of the Hindi Literary Conference held in the Sardar Patel University auditorium located in Vallabh Vidyanagar. Along with Vijaya Dutt Shridhar, Sanskrit scholar and former Vice-Chancellor ‘Abhiraj’ Rajendra Mishra, and Sardar Patel University’s Vice-Chancellor Niranjan Kumar Poornachand Patel were also awarded this honor.
The award was presented by Acharya Suryaprasad Dixit, Chairman of the Hindi Sahitya Sammelan, and Kuntak Mishra. Prior to the award presentation, Shridhar’s commendation was read, which highlighted his contributions to journalism and literature.
Hindi Litterateur Dutt Shridhar expressed that standing on the conference stage is a privilege, while being honored is a point of pride. He highlighted the importance of timely youth leadership in key organizations. During the conference, he was appointed Chairman of the National Language Council. Past chairmen include Dr. Rajendra Prasad, and notable figures like Mahatma Gandhi and Madan Mohan Malviya have been awarded the title of Sahitya Vachaspati.
