Viral Punjab pastor Bajinder Singh spotted in Nepal, lookout notice issued

Kathmandu, March 08 (HS): Pastor Bajinder Singh, a controversial figure with a history of criminal allegations, is currently evading authorities after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him in Punjab for sexual misconduct.

He was recently spotted delivering a speech at a religious gathering organized by Christian missionaries in Tikapur, Nepal, despite being accused of sending obscene messages and sexually abusing a woman

Punjab. Nepali authorities confirmed his presence at this event, which took place on March 5-6.

The Punjab Police communicated to Nepal Police about the allegations against Singh, informing them that a special team was formed to investigate after a woman reported the misconduct on February 28. Bajinder Singh notably escaped the vehicle on the day he was supposed to meet with this team. Following this, the Nepal Crime Investigation Department tracked him down at the religious gathering where a video of his participation surfaced on social media. Kathmandu Police Chief Tek Bahadur Tamang indicated that a lookout notice has been issued for his arrest. Singh, originally from Haryana, allegedly oversees over 2,000 churches and has a criminal background, having previously served time for murder and faced arrests for sexual misconduct, including an incident in 2018. Additionally, he has been targeted by the Indian Income Tax Department for illegal property possession.
