Releases 4th edition of “Kartavya Marg”

Jammu, Dec 19 (KINS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday released the fourth edition of “Kartavya Marg”, the annual in-house magazine published by Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, at Lok Bhawan.

Congratulating the editor and the team associated with the publication, the Lieutenant Governor lauded the Trust for its sustained efforts in promoting India’s ancient knowledge traditions, Vedic sciences, folk culture and astrology, while nurturing moral awareness and cultural pride in society.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor said the comprehensive Indian Knowledge System, deeply rooted in the Vedas and encompassing a holistic worldview, offers meaningful solutions to many modern-day challenges.

“Our ancient texts such as the Vedas and Upanishads are a rich repository of knowledge in fields like mathematics, medicine, physics, botany, chemistry, arts and humanities. The diverse philosophical schools, along with India’s art and architectural heritage, remain highly relevant in building a resilient and balanced society,” he said.

The Lieutenant Governor emphasized that initiatives like “Kartavya Marg” play a vital role in reconnecting the younger generation with India’s cultural roots. He underlined the need for youth to imbibe ancient values and ideals in contemporary life.

Highlighting the importance of Indian culture, ethics and values, the Lieutenant Governor said they help individuals navigate complex challenges while fostering harmony, unity and social cohesion.

He further observed that India’s ancient wisdom provides a blueprint for a successful modern world by ensuring collective well-being, offering pathways for sustainable development and innovation, and presenting a holistic framework to effectively address global challenges such as climate change.

Mahant Rohit Shastri, President of Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust, informed that the annual magazine is published in Hindi, Sanskrit, English and Dogri, enabling its message of knowledge, culture and values to reach a wider and diverse audience.

Several members of the Trust, including scholars, intellectuals and social leaders, were present on the occasion.(KINS)
