Hojai (Assam), 14 April (HS): The intensive drive against drugs being run by Lumding Police is continuing. In a recent action in this sequence, the police have arrested a youth red-handed with narcotics.

Official sources said on Monday that the police took this action on the National Highway of Lumding, where the youth was caught during the search operation. 26 grams of banned brown sugar has been recovered from him. Along with this, the police have also seized a Yamaha bike number AS 02 T 8657.

The arrested youth has been identified as Ranjit Kumar Singh, who is said to be a resident of Shankar Palli area of Lumding. Interrogation is going on by the police and the whole matter is being investigated.
