Zelensky denounces attacks on Kharkiv as terrorism

a launched two rounds of devastating attacks on Kharkiv’s civilians on Saturday

Kyiv, 8 June (H.S.): Volodymyr Zelensky condemned Vladimir Putin’s forces for “pure terrorism” after severe attacks on Kharkiv, resulting in three deaths and 21 injuries from missile and drone strikes. Mayor Ihor Terekhov termed the assaults the “most powerful attack” of the war. A subsequent attack with guided aerial bombs caused further casualties, including one confirmed death and over 40 injuries.

As of now, more than 40 people in Kharkiv are known to have been wounded, and one woman has been killed as a result of strikes by Russian aerial bombs.

Another brutal killing. Bombs against civilians in the city – near a children’s railway, even. This has no military logic whatsoever. It is pure terrorism,”Zelensky stated in telegram.

On another occasion, a Russian air raid killed a 30-year-old railway employee and injured at least 18 others, damaging critical infrastructure. Zelensky urged international responses and reinforced the need for enhanced air defense systems from the U.S. to maintain pressure on Russia.
