Udhampur, 27 April (H.S.): The police arrested three persons and recovered some quantity of charas from their possession in Chenani area today.

Official sources said that a police team from Police Station Chenani led by its SHO during routine naka at Motorshed apprehended three suspicious persons (including one lady who were coming from Udhampur side towards Chenani side on a motorcycle bearing registration number PB02DG- 9329.

Upon conducting a thorough checking, police team recovered 1 Kg 25 grams of charas from their possession. They were identified as Shanker, son of Sajjan; Shambu, son of Shanker, and Reena wife of Shanker, all residents of Hoshiarpur, Punjab.

A case vide FIR No. 45/2025 U/S 8/20/29 NDPS Act stands registered in Police Station Chenani and further investigation was launched.
