Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Wednesday announced the appointment of former Indian cricketer and seasoned coach Sairaj Bahutule as the team’s new spin bowling coach for the upcoming season.

Bahutule replaces Sunil Joshi, who served in the role from 2023 to 2025. A respected figure in domestic cricket, Bahutule brings extensive coaching experience, having previously worked with domestic teams like Kerala, Gujarat, Vidarbha, and Bengal, as well as the IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals. His coaching philosophy has centered on developing young talent and enhancing bowling strategies.

In an official statement, Punjab Kings CEO Satish Menon welcomed the new appointee. We are thrilled to welcome Sairaj Bahutule to our coaching staff. Sairaj’s deep understanding of the game, particularly his extensive experience in grooming domestic bowlers and crafting strategy, will be invaluable.

His expertise aligns with our vision of building a robust and cohesive bowling unit for the upcoming season, Menon said, also extending thanks to Sunil Joshi for his contributions.
