Mumbai, 28 October (H.S.): The Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) — the country’s largest commodity derivatives exchange — encountered a technical glitch on Monday morning, leading to a delayed start of trading operations.

According to an update on the exchange’s official website, trading will commence at 9:30 AM, half an hour later than the usual 9:00 AM opening time.

“Members are requested to note that the trading will start at 9:30 AM due to technical issue. Trading will start from DR. Inconvenience is regretted,” the MCX notification read.

The exchange did not immediately specify the nature of the technical issue or the expected duration of the disruption. Market participants are awaiting further updates from the exchange authorities.
