Jammu, Jan 15 (KINS): Jammu and Kashmir BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma CA, along with Jammu North MLA Sham Lal Sharma, on Thursday visited Ward 59 in Paloura to inspect ongoing and proposed development works at a local pond.
During the visit, they reviewed plans to restore and beautify the pond area for public use. Several BJP leaders and local representatives were also present on the occasion.
Addressing locals, Sat Sharma said the development work was taken up on the demand of residents, showing the government’s focus on public welfare and people’s participation. He said the pond was earlier encroached upon, but the Jammu Development Authority cleared the encroachment in time, making way for proper development.
He added that the area will be beautified with landscaping and developed as an open space and ground for children and youth. Such projects, he said, help protect the environment and improve the quality of life in urban areas. Sat Sharma assured that BJP representatives will closely monitor the work to ensure quality and timely completion.
MLA Sham Lal Sharma said removing encroachments from public land and restoring community assets remains a priority. He said the pond development will help maintain environmental balance and provide a recreational space for local residents. He assured full support for completing the work in a transparent and efficient manner and appreciated the cooperation of locals.(KINS)
