“All Bets Will Be Off”: Trump Warns Hamas To Act Swiftly On Gaza Peace Deal

US President Donald Trump

Washington,October 5(HS): US President Donald Trump has issued a stern warning to Palestinian group Hamas, urging it to “move quickly” to finalize a peace agreement with Israel or face renewed devastation in Gaza.In a post on his Truth Social page, Trump wrote, “Hamas must move quickly, or else all bets will be off. I will not tolerate delays or any outcome where Gaza poses a threat again. Let’s get this done, fast.” His remarks came as preliminary discussions gained momentum over a potential peace deal aimed at ending two years of conflict.

Trump voiced appreciation for Israel’s decision to temporarily halt its bombings to allow hostage-release and peace talks to proceed. However, Gaza’s civil defence agency reported that dozens of Israeli airstrikes continued overnight, killing at least 57 people, including 40 in Gaza City.

According to White House officials, senior aides Jared Kushner and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff have travelled to Egypt to finalize details surrounding the hostage exchange and peace arrangements.Hamas signalled its willingness on Friday to release all hostages and discuss the proposed settlement framework.

In response, Trump called on Israel to “immediately” cease airstrikes to give diplomacy a chance. Israeli officials, meanwhile, maintained that operations were still underway inside Gaza despite the temporary pause. The developments mark renewed American involvement in Middle East peace efforts under Trump’s leadership, as the administration seeks to broker a truce between Israel and Hamas amid continuing humanitarian concerns in Gaza.
