New Delhi, August 11 (HS): Gold prices eased in the domestic bullion market on Monday, offering buyers some relief as rates fell by ₹700–₹760 per 10 grams across major trading hubs. In contrast, silver held its ground, with prices remaining unchanged.
In early trade, 24‑carat gold was quoted between ₹1,02,280 and ₹1,02,430 per 10 grams, while 22‑carat gold ranged from ₹93,750 to ₹93,900. Steadfast silver maintained its price at ₹1,17,000 per kilogram in Delhi.
City‑wise, Delhi saw 24‑carat gold at ₹1,02,430 and 22‑carat at ₹93,900 per 10 grams. Mumbai mirrored the lower end of the range at ₹1,02,280 and ₹93,750 respectively. Ahmedabad posted ₹1,02,330 (24‑carat) and ₹93,800 (22‑carat), while Chennai and Kolkata traded in line with Mumbai’s levels.
Other regional markets followed suit: Lucknow, Patna, and Jaipur reported similar declines, and bullion traders in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Bhubaneswar noted matching price points. The across‑the‑board softness in gold comes amid subdued demand and marginal corrections in the global precious metals market.
Market watchers say the moderation in gold prices may spur festive and retail buying, especially with silver showing price stability for a second consecutive day.
