
Jammu, 27 April (H.S.): Jal Shakti/PHE Employees and Workers Association leader and district president Som Nath has said that Central Administrative Tribunal has issued decision in favour of Jal Shakti/ PHE employees.
Addressing a press conference at PHE complex here today, senior Trade Union leader Som Nath said that as per a case goin on in the J&K High Court, the stay was given in favour of Water Works PHE Employees Association. Now, this department and the office is known as Jal Shakti (PHE) Employees and Worker Association.
The lead in the stay order was taken by the Udhampur Wing but the benefit of this decision is given to all the employees of Jammu Province. Case was filed in the High Court in the year 2012 when Govt issue order that salary of the field staff of PHE Department shall be released after the concerned employee get certificate from the concerned Panch/ Sarpanch of the field area.
The High Court stayed the Govt. order on very first hearing of the case in Oct. 2012. The Govt. contested the case in the Court but stay order not vacated,
In 2021, the case was transferred to Central Administrative Tribunal. The Tribunal has now finally quashed the said order vide it’s final judgment in favour of PHE Employees and Workers. He said that it is the win of the Jal Shakti/ PHE employees and workers.
