Islamabad, May 7 (HS): In light of the rising tensions between Pakistan and India, the Islamabad district administration has declared a holiday for all educational institutions in the federal capital today. According to an official notification, government and private schools and colleges will remain closed today due to security concerns. This measure aims to ensure the safety of students and staff amid the deteriorating situation at the border.

According to Sources, officials have urged students to stay in touch with their institutions for further updates. It is expected that normal operations in educational institutions will resume soon, based on the security situation. Meanwhile, Islamabad police and other law enforcement agencies have been placed on high alert. This decision was taken following a press conference by military spokesperson and Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, who stated that India had launched missile attacks at several locations in Pakistan last night.
