Governor attributes inspiration to Maa Janaki behind newlywed's farewell to Soldier Husbands

Bihar's Governor Arif Mohammad Khan while addressing Sita Mahotsav

Sitamarhi, May 10 (HS): Bihar’s Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, present as the chief guest at the Sita Mahotsav organized by Hindustan Samachar at the Sita Prakashgrih located at the birthplace of Shri Janaki in the Sitamarhi district, praised the courageous woman who, just a few days after her marriage, is sending her brave soldier husband for the protection of the border. He described this indomitable courage as inspired by Maa Janaki.

Governor Arif Mohammad Khan stated that soldiers ensure the safety of the country and its citizens. The wives of brave soldiers courageously bid farewell to their husbands, boosting their morale and reminding them of their responsibilities. They happily send off their husbands, giving them the courage that they are standing behind them. He said that soldiers are sons of Mother India who risk their lives to keep their mother, India, safe.

The governor informed that in light of the current circumstances the country is facing, a multi-faith prayer meeting will be held on Sunday in all Raj Bhavans of the country. He mentioned that citizens are tired of terrorism and a lot of innocent blood has been shed. Today, every citizen stands with the country to eliminate terrorism.

The governor reflected on Maa Janaki and questioned how Ravana could abduct Goddess Sita, considering her divine essence. Her abduction was a part of Maa Janaki’s divine play, highlighting Shabari’s unwavering vision, Vibhishan’s chanting of ‘Ram Ram’, and Hanuman’s bravery, all for the world’s welfare. He expressed pride in being the first citizen of the state where Mother Janaki was born, noting her and Lord Shri Ram’s inspiration extends beyond Hindi-speaking areas to southern states. He emphasized that reverence and respect are intrinsic to human nature, and both men and women contribute to instilling values in children. He praised Lord Shri Ram as Maryada Purushottam and acknowledged that wise individuals pursue soul knowledge, focusing on humanity’s welfare.

After his address, the Governor, who arrived from Patna to Sitamarhi by road, departed back to Patna by the same route.
