India halts exchange of all incoming mail and parcel services from Pakistan via air and ground routes

Delhi, 3 May (H.S.): The central government announced a suspension of all inbound mail and parcel exchanges from Pakistan, as per the Ministry of Communications, following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that resulted in 26 civilian deaths.

This action is part of broader measures against Pakistan, including stopping the Indus Waters Treaty, cancelling special visas for Pakistanis, closing airspace to Pakistani airlines, and shutting the Attari-Wagah border.

Additionally, on April 23, the government declared Pakistan’s military attaches in India persona non grata, expelling them and withdrawing its own attaches from Pakistan. The decision to suspend mail followed cyber attacks from Pakistan-based hackers on Indian school websites, which attempted to mock the Pahalgam tragedy.
