IndiGo to Begin Direct Mumbai–London Heathrow Flights from October 26

New Delhi, October 7(HS): India’s largest airline IndiGo will launch direct daily non-stop flights between Mumbai and London Heathrow from October 26, 2025, with introductory fares starting at ₹22,999. The service will make London Heathrow IndiGo’s second destination in the United Kingdom after Manchester, strengthening the carrier’s long-haul network.

Announcing the new route on Tuesday, IndiGo said the service will be operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner leased from Norse Atlantic Airways. The aircraft will feature a two-class configuration — Economy and IndiGoStretch — offering passengers complimentary hot meals and beverages. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase in Economy class and complimentary for IndiGoStretch customers. Each seat will come with a personal seatback entertainment screen, providing approximately 300 hours of curated content.

Bookings for the route are now open through IndiGo’s official website, mobile app, and authorized travel partners.IndiGo Chief Executive Officer Pieter Elbers hailed the airline’s entry into Heathrow — one of the world’s most significant aviation hubs known for its scale and connectivity — as a proud milestone and a strategic move to expand the airline’s global footprint.

“The India–United Kingdom corridor has long been of immense importance, not only because of strong bilateral relations but also due to the growing traffic driven by students, friends and relatives, business travelers, and leisure passengers,” Elbers said.He added that following the strong response to IndiGo’s first long-haul service to Manchester, the airline is excited to take its next step in London.

“We look forward to offering our customers more travel choices while reinforcing our commitment to seamless connectivity between India and the rest of the world,” he stated.
