Jharkhand: BJP Protests Against Pakistani Residents Amid Tense India-Pakistan Relations

Ranchi, 5 May (H.S.): Protests by BJP workers are taking place in various parts of Jharkhand on Monday against Pakistani citizens who are residing in the state and other parts of India.

These protests come at a time when the relationship between India and Pakistan is at an all-time low following the Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the death of 26 people, mostly tourists.

In response to the attack, the Indian government has taken several measures, such as suspending the Indus Waters Treaty, downgrading diplomatic ties with Pakistan, and giving a deadline to all Pakistanis on short-term visas to leave India by April 27 or face consequences. These protests highlight the anger and frustration of the Indian citizens towards Pakistan and its citizens, as they demand justice for the victims of the terror attack. The situation in Jharkhand remains tense as these protests continue, and it remains to be seen what actions will be taken by the government to address this issue.
