Guwahati, 5 May (HS): A massive fire incident was reported in Elenga area of Sonapur on Monday. This fire broke out at the residence of local resident Bipul Deka, which engulfed the entire house in no time.

Not only his house was reduced to ashes in the flames, but a scooter along with many valuable items was also destroyed. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire, but by then the house was completely burnt.

According to the local people, the cause of the fire could be a short circuit. At the same time, the fire became even more severe due to the explosion of a gas cylinder kept in the house.
