Pakistan fired missiles at Jammu Airport; India intercepted all

JAMMU is witnessing complete blackout

New Delhi, May 8 (HS): Tensions are rising between India and Pakistan after Operation Sindoor, with Pakistan launching attacks on Jammu, targeting the city and Pathankot airspace using drones and missiles. Indian security forces successfully thwarted these assaults, deemed acts of war. Explosions near Jammu Airport caused panic, prompting a regional security alert.

In response to the shelling from Pakistan, the Jammu region has been placed under complete blackout. This measure has been taken as a precautionary security measure to prevent any sensitive sites from being targeted by potential drone or air attacks. The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace.

In the latest attacks, the Jammu Airport complex was targeted. Following the explosions, loud sirens were also heard, causing chaos among the people. Security forces have cordoned off the entire area and initiated investigations. So far, there have been no reports of loss of life or property, but given the sensitivity of the situation, security agencies are working with utmost vigilance.

Meanwhile, the administration has urged people to disregard rumors and maintain peace. A local eyewitness reported seeing red glowing lights and missile-like objects flying in the sky during the darkness of night.

Reports have emerged from the border area of Samba in Jammu and Kashmir regarding heavy artillery shelling and drone attacks. This cross-border attack not only involved heavy cross-firing but also the use of drones, further heightening tensions.
