
New Delhi, May 7 (HS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Droupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday and briefed her about Operation Sindoor, which was conducted as a historic military action by India against terrorist bases in Pakistan.
The Indian Armed Forces carried out Operation Sindoor to deliver justice to the victims of the Pulwama terrorist attack by targeting and destroying nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. On April 22, terrorists killed 26 people in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir.
The Presidential Palace shared a photo of the meeting between the two leaders on its X handle, stating, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with President Droupadi Murmu at the Presidential Palace and provided her with information about Operation Sindoor.
Earlier, during a Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister informed his colleagues about Operation Sindoor and described it as a moment of pride for the nation. At the start of the meeting, all ministers congratulated Prime Minister Modi for the precise military attack that destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Describing the operation as an excellent strike by the armed forces, the Prime Minister explained how the attacks were conducted by penetrating into Pakistan.
According to sources, the Prime Minister provided detailed information to his Cabinet colleagues about the operation and the situation that followed. According to officials present at the meeting, the Prime Minister stated, This is a moment of pride for all of us.
This Cabinet meeting took place just hours after the Indian Armed Forces conducted coordinated airstrikes targeting infrastructure related to terrorist organizations such as Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen. This attack was a response to the Pulwama terrorist attack in which 26 people were killed.
