
New Delhi, April 28 (HS): The Supreme Court has granted permission for the release of the passport of controversial YouTuber Ranbir Allahbadia. The bench, headed by Justice Surya Kant, stated that the investigation in Allahabadi’s case has been completed, and therefore the passport should be released. Earlier, on April 1, Ranbir Allahbadia had given an undertaking to the Supreme Court assuring that he would maintain the ethical standards of his show so that people of all ages could watch it. Allahbadia’s lawyer, Abhinav Chandrachud, had requested the release of Allahabadi’s passport so that he could travel abroad. The court had then asked Solicitor General Tushar Mehta how long it would take to complete the investigation in this case. Mehta had replied that the investigation is expected to be completed within two weeks.
