People’s Conference President Sajjad Gani Lone launched a scathing attack on the National Conference (NC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) during a press conference, accusing them of indulging in political drama and alleging a deliberate cover-up over key constitutional issues.

Lone questioned the current political narrative surrounding the demand for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood, asking whether it was being used to overshadow the larger issues of Article 370 and Article 35A. He argued that the debate should not lose sight of the demand for the restoration of the region’s special constitutional status and called on political parties to be transparent about their priorities.
