Sonitpur (Assam), 1 May (HS): A painful accident took place in Balipara of Sonitpur district of Assam, where a young man who came to steal the high voltage wire of the railway killed on the spot.

Police said on Thursday that the incident took place on the railway line near Bamgaon near Balipara. According to the information, the youth was trying to steal the 25,000 volt wire of the railway, when he came in contact with the electric current. He killed on the spot due to high current and his body was badly burnt.

As soon as the information of the incident was received, the railway police reached the spot and started investigation. Till the time of filing the news, the deceased could not be identified.
