ICC, BCCI, Indian Cricket Head Coach Extend Birthday Greetings to Chairman Jay Shah

Delhi, 22 September (H.S.): International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah received warm birthday wishes today from global and national cricket bodies, as well as India’s head coach, Gautam Gambhir. Shah, who celebrated his 37th birthday on September 22, is the son of India’s Home Minister Amit Shah and currently heads the world cricket body.

On Monday, the ICC posted a message on X: “Heartiest congratulations to our Chairman, Jay Shah, on his 37th birthday. Under his leadership, the ICC has announced record prize money for both men’s and women’s competitions, secured new sponsors such as Swiggy, Unilever, and Google, and successfully delivered three global tournaments.”

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared its greetings on X, stating: “Warm wishes to ICC Chairman Jay Shah on his birthday!”BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla added a personal note: “Extend heartfelt wishes to ICC President Jay Shah on his birthday and pray for a life filled with happiness, good health, and prosperity.”

Indian cricket head coach Gautam Gambhir also congratulated Shah, writing: “Happy birthday, Jay Shah. Your dedication and tireless efforts to take the game forward will leave an indelible mark on generations to come.”

Born on September 22, 1988, Jay Shah began his cricket administration journey with the Gujarat Cricket Association in 2009. He was appointed BCCI Secretary in 2019 and has also served as President of the Asian Cricket Council. Shah is currently ICC Chairman and continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of global cricket.
