Netanyahu Expresses Regret to Qatari PM Over Doha Strike, Says White House

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with US President Donald Trump

Washington, September 30 (HS): Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed regret to Qatar’s prime minister over an Israeli strike in Doha during a three-way call that also included US President Donald Trump, the White House said on Monday.

According to the statement, Netanyahu conveyed remorse for violating Qatar’s sovereignty and assured that such an incident would not be repeated in the future.

The leaders discussed the US-backed proposal to end the Gaza war, prospects for creating a more secure environment in the Middle East, and opportunities for improved understanding between their countries.

Reports indicated that President Trump urged Netanyahu to support his Gaza peace plan, aimed at ending nearly two years of conflict and easing Israel’s growing international isolation.
