Srinagar- Director General of Police (DGP) Nalin Prabhat on Saturday reviewed the ongoing counter-terrorism operations along the Udhampur-Kathua belt and stressed the need for continued vigilance, operational preparedness and close coordination among all security agencies.

Prabhat, accompanied by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone Tejinder Singh, visited Udhampur and took stock of the operational situation and the progress of ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the area.

The officers also reviewed security arrangements and the preparedness of forces in view of the prevailing security situation along the Udhampur-Kathua faultline.

During the visit, the DGP felicitated personnel involved in the operations and acknowledged their courage, commitment and professional conduct.

The personnel were commended for their role in the successful Operation Soan, during which two Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were neutralised.

Prabhat appreciated the coordinated efforts of the security forces and stressed the importance of maintaining vigilance and operational readiness.

He also called for close coordination among all agencies engaged in counter-terrorism operations to strengthen the overall security response.

IGP Jammu Zone Tejinder Singh accompanied the DGP during the visit and reviewed operational aspects and security measures along the Udhampur-Kathua belt.

The visit comes amid continued security operations in the Jammu region aimed at tracking terrorist networks and preventing attempts to disrupt peace and security in the area.
